Well...it has been a little while since I have posted. But in my defense....I have been REALLY busy. Ethan is growing up so fast and is a ball of energy. Those long naps seem to be a distant memory. It has been loads of fun and I would not trade one second of the choas for a day of peace and quiet. We are moving in on the 9 month mark and he is 19 pounds. Finally, he is starting to grow some hair and it seems like it will be blonde. He now has 2 teeth and is working on some more. He loves to swim in the pool or play in the tub....pretty much anything that involves water. Ethan is totally fascinated with Elmo also. He will sit and watch it anytime I need a break and smiles and laughs along with the show. I do not know who created that little red monster, but God bless him!

When he was first born, Ethan would panic if anything was on or near his head. He hated it and it would take his breath away. Now...he thinks that it is a game. He will still get a little nervous but likes to play "Where's Ethan" like that.

ETHAN LOVES TO PLAY IN THE TUB WITH HIS FLOAT!!!

Ethan discovered that bath time can be fun with his float!!!

In fact, that is our new bath time ritual. We get his float, soap, towels, etc. and head to the big tub. He will play and soak until the water is cold or you get him out.

Ethan started crawling yesterday!!! It was so cute and very much unexpected. I tried to get him to do it again so I could get it on camera...but he just would not do it. Guess I will just have to keep trying and post it when he decides that he is ready. He is getting so big and definitely has developed his own little personality. He knows just what noises to make or how to fuss to get what he wants. He still does not want to sit down unless he is being pulled around in a cardboard box. That was Darlene's idea and it worked well. He wants to be up walking or rough housing most of the time. He loves to be thrown up in the air and will put up with it as long as you will do it...or your arms fall off one. He is all boy for sure.

ETHAN HOLDING HIS JUICE AFTER OUR WALK

ETHAN ON OUR WALK / STROLL TODAY

Ethan loves to go outside no matter if it is for a walk or just to look at all of the trees, plants, and birds that are around. The only thing he does not care for is when the wind blows in his face. When we go for walks with the stroller, he gets so excited that he holds his feet up like he is putting on the brakes and even does a Dr Evil pinky toe too.

FIVE MONTHS

ETHAN IS NOW FIVE MONTHS OLD! He is such a good baby and is oh so very happy. We are not crawling yet but think we are ready to walk. Put him down on his tummy and he is ready to come up after about 5 minutes at the most. Hold his hands and he will walk around the house as many times as you will let him. He has discovered that he can put his toes into his mouth and tries to do so every chance he gets. We read a few bedtime stories each night before he falls asleep and Ethan loves to turn the pages...sometimes before you are finished reading. He is still discovering few high pitched noises that he can make. He has started teething and wants to put everything and everyone's fingers into his mouth. He is still eating well and loves bananas and applesauce the most. Each new day is an adventure for him...and us as well. It is so much fun to spend my days with him!
